Little Dog Dinner Time…Jenny McWhinney Design

Okay…only one more design to stitch…it’s a Christmas one… The dog was a simpler one which was nice…it is a wonderful one to do if you are interested in just starting to do crewel or surface embroidery. Jenny McWhinney has all these mini designs on her website…she even sells them as a whole package..I think that is what I did many years ago, I bought the whole package. I am glad to be getting them finished. Not sure what I am going to do with all of them yet.

Cute dog… if one wanted to change something I would change the outline on the back. It was suggested to do it in black but I changed it to the color of the ears. I also might take it out…just contemplating on it…probably will leave it.

Hello , I don’t think it needs the outlining stitch along the back , more fur like without . ..but definitely your brown line looks better than if you had stitched it with black . Where I think it is important to stitch a darker thread outline stitch , would maybe … just be …to define the underside of the dogs back leg ..the leg nearest to us that is . But come on ..it’s great..time to move on and do something else ! :) Loving your blog me ! Daisy Debs x

Thanks! I enjoy Jenny’s Designs for their whimsicalness… Have tended to change up some color or type of stitching when I do embroider. Yes, I agree about the back leg. It does need something…probably will keep looking at it but not do anything…I only have “one” more of her mini designs to do. I was looking at them and realized I started them in 2012..! They are great for a quicker project! Just wish I had the talent to draw for stitching..so really appreciate all the time the designers put into creation of the works of art!

Thanks it is cute….was the easiest of all of them…I’ve been looking for a “tag for the collar” but am tempted to leave it as is. Totally agree about the black but it still is bugging me a bit because it looks to much like an outline. Will decide at another time if it should come out.
